OUR WEEK IN REVIEW/A GLANCE INTO NEXT WEEK
October 19-23, 2015 A Peek At Our Week
Last week, we began reading The Little Red Hen. After reading several versions and noticing the pattern of the stories, we wrote how we can help at home. Ask your child to tell you what they said they could do to help at home. We learned about wheat and how it gets from the farm to our table. Ask your child to tell you some things that are made from wheat. We ended this discussion of wheat by baking bread. We were visited by a farmer and met a chicken named Brownie. Ask your child to tell you something he/she learned about chickens. We had a visit from a Trussville fireman and learned about fire safety.
What a busy week of learning!
