A Message from the Principal

5.9.22

Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,

In keeping with our school safety and security requirements, HFCS will be having a Lock Down Drill this Wednesday, May 11th. The teachers will be reviewing the procedures with the students on Tuesday so they will be aware of the drill ahead of time. While we are having the drill no one will be allowed in the building; we will have a sign on the front door stating that we are having a Lockdown Drill. Please be patient if you arrive at school during that time.

Please join us next Monday, May 16, at 8:00am, for an all-school rosary in the library during Monday Morning Prayer.

Our second semester Awards Ceremony will be on the last day of school, Friday, May 27, at 8:00am in the library. We will also celebrate Fiesta Day that day, which is a noon dismissal day.

I hope to see you at the Dads’ Club Golf Classic this Friday!

Blessings,

Ann Walters

Principal

May Crowning

The May Crowning is such a special tradition for Holy Family Catholic School students. Last Thursday Ella Davis processed in with the floral crown to the statue of Mary and David Granado placed the floral crown on Mary's head. Each student honored our Blessed Mother Mary prior to the start of Mass by placing flowers in-front of her statue.

Kona Ice Visits Holy Family Catholic School

Parents purchased as part of the Buy It Now items from Pot 0'Gold a Kona Ice treat for their child. On Thursday, those that participated enjoyed choosing flavors and eating their snow cone.

Eighth Grade USO Dance

A great tradition here at Holy Family is the Eighth Grade USA Dance, which was started by our very own Miss Jan Barker. The students wore period clothing from the WWII era, danced dances from the time, and enjoyed dinner in the transformed cafeteria to a ballroom.

Many thanks to Miss Barker for such a fun and lovely evening!
