For my book I chose Diary of a Wimpy Kid : The Long Haul. In my book the main character is Greg Heffley like in every other Diary of a Wimpy Kid. In The Long Haul Greg was excited for a long summer of sleep and video games, but all the sudden his parents came into the room and said that for the summer they are going on a field trip. When on the trip they face many problems, such as gum getting stuck in the sunroof, someone supposedly stealing their personal items, and many more. At the end of the story Greg realized he had the key the whole time.

Exposition: Greg came home for summer break to relax and play videogames when all the sudden his parents say they are going on a road trip. Rising Action: Greg yells at some kids in the hallway of the motel and their big dad comes and tries to find him. Climax: everything was going wrong, the kids were at the water park and took their chair which had their locker key and they think they stole it. Falling Action: Greg's family goes to stop at the hotel to look for their stuff and they found out the kids family was there. They went to go search their room and they got caught so they ran away. The Resolution: Greg's family gets home and starts canceling credit cards while Greg is doing laundry, he finds the key in the basket of laundry and tries to decide what to do.

My review and impression

My review of this novel is 9.5 out of ten. I loved it so much. The only problem I had was it ended on a massive cliffhanger and wasn't answered in the next book. My impression on this author is very good. I think he is a great author, and a great person in general. As a writer I don't think he should retire soon. His books are still great and they keep getting better.

I hope you enjoyed my presentation
