What treasure does the museum hold for our students?
Visit to the Museum Library Pātaka Mātāpuna o Tāmaki Paenga Hira
This is a great opportunity for getting to know the
Museum Library Collection and finding out how teachers
and students may access it for research. Along the way
you will also be able to catch up with library colleagues.
PLAN FOR THE MORNING: We will visit the Reading
Room for a short appraisal of the Library, view the
collections it holds, and find out what the museum can
Following this we will ‘tour’ some Library spaces and
galleries in which the library has a stake.
NOTE: Because lift access may be limited we will have
to use the stairs to reach the upper level galleries. The
Museum apologises for this potential inconvenience.

Parking: Is in surrounding streets or underground at rear (cost for latter).
Due to works being carried out at the atrium end of the museum, we'll meet in the main foyer at the front of the museum.
Coffee/tea can be purchased (at our own expense) at the museum cafe off the foyer. We can gather here at the end of our tour.
Although not required for this visit IF you bring proof of residence eg rates with drivers licence - you can be registered for free museum entry at any time.
