From the Principal
Hello, Cougar Pride!
I can hardly believe that the end of 1st quarter is right around the corner! We have so many great things happening here! This quarter we have had StuCo elections, our sports teams are working hard and being successful, we walked to support ALS, our TCALC students participated in a jacketing ceremony and we are engaging in our learning activities! Parent Teacher Conferences will be here soon. Be on the look-out for an email from your student's AB teacher which will provide you with a link to sign up for your conference time.
Please stay connected with your student's teachers. If you are having any difficulty reaching any teacher please let Mr. Gay and I know so we can assist. Tyler SIS is the place to log onto weekly to check grades, missing work, and attendance. A strong connection between home and school in addition to open communication is the foundation for building a positive relationship and ensuring your student finds success this school year.

Welcome to Naviance
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are pleased to introduce Naviance Student – a comprehensive website that you and your student can use to make plans about colleges, and careers. Naviance Student is linked with Naviance, a service that we use in our office to track and analyze data about college and career plans, so it provides up-to-date information that’s specific to our school.
Naviance Student allows your student to:
Get involved in the planning and advising process – Build a resume, complete online surveys, and manage timelines and deadlines for making decisions about colleges and careers
Research colleges – Compare GPA, standardized test scores, and other statistics to actual historical data from our school for students who have applied and been admitted in the past
Research careers – Research hundreds of careers and career clusters, and take career assessments
Create plans for the future – Create goals and to-dos, and complete tasks assigned by the school to better prepare your student for future college and career goals.
Naviance Student also lets us share information with you and your student about upcoming meetings and events, local scholarship opportunities, and other resources for college and career information.
To visit your school’s Naviance Student site, use an Internet browser to connect to: http://student.naviance.com/chasemd
When you visit the site for the first time, click the "Forgot your password?" link to receive an email with a temporary password. Once you have received the email, return to your school's URL. Enter your temporary password and follow the on-screen instructions to setup your account. Soon you will be viewing your student's "Naviance Student" account!
Here is a short step-by-step tutorial if you'd like further assistance: http://ior.ad/7sav
We hope that you will find this resource helpful. If you have questions about Naviance Student, please contact your child's counselor.
Yours truly,

Bean works alongside Mr. Banman, Chase’s School Social Worker, with greeting students, playing with them, and helping them during visits. Students love saying “hi” to Bean throughout the day and petting him as he does his rounds. Bean enjoys going playing fetch, going for walks with students, and giving them high fives. When Bean has free time he loves taking naps, eating treats, and taking more naps.
