Alan Turing created the computer during the second world war. He was born in Maida Vale, London. He is respected in the modern day and there's even a statue of him in Manchester, England. Sadly Alan Turning died of Cyanide Poisoning on the 7th June 1954 aged 41. Sine then Queen Elizabeth II granted him a posthumous pardon in 2013 also a biography was published by the Royal Society shortly after his death. Still today Alan is still respected by many people across the world for the amazing piece if technology he created which is still used 70 years later.
