Yearbooks On Sale!
2018-2019 yearbooks are currently on sale for $80. All orders are processed online at www.jostensyearbooks.com . In past years, students have not reserved yearbooks thinking they would wait until the last week to see if they were interested. As the school year progresses, and they become involved in activities or form friendships with other students. When the yearbooks arrive in May, they are disappointed not having a copy of their own! In previous years we have completely sold out of yearbooks! Do not let this happen to your child. Our yearbook is filled with wonderful memories of the school year, so reserve one today! If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Fidler at jfidler@cbsd.org .

Program Planning At South!
In January, all Central Bucks secondary schools will begin the Program Planning process. During this time, students will review course offerings for the upcoming school year, discuss their options with their teachers and counselors, and enter their course selections into the Student Portal. The basic timeline is listed below and more detailed information will be posted on the Guidance Website/Program Planning Page in early January.
Early January: Sophomores and Juniors will receive information on course selection and information about program planning in their Titan Forums. Program of Studies for the 2019-2020 school year will be posted online for students to review course offerings, descriptions, and prerequisites.
January 11th through February 3rd (11:59 PM): Students will enter course selections online via the Student Portal. Students are encouraged to see their counselors with any questions they have about course selection during this time.
Early February through March 14th: Counselors will meet individually with students to review course selections once they have been entered into the Student Portal. Counselors will review course choices, prerequisites, graduation credits, and will address all questions and concerns.
March 22nd: Verification sheets will be available to students on the portal. Changes can be submitted by printing out the verification sheet, indicating the requested changed, and submitting the form to your counselor.
March 27th: No changes to course requests can be made after March 27th, unless it is due to a level change or failure to meet a prerequisite.
Parents play a vital role in this process, and we encourage you to become familiar with the timeline and information made available to you through newsletters, email blasts, and the Guidance website.

Class of 2020 News
There are several things happening at CB South of interest for Juniors.
1. ACT Registration ends January 11th for the February 9th test, which is being hosted at CB South. Several spots remain available.
2. The Program Planning Process has begun; click HERE to get details and directions. Counselors will follow up briefly with each student after the Portal closes to review his/her selections and verify diploma goals, but many students will seek individual advice prior to the registration window closing. The perfect time is NOW for students to make an appointment to meet with their counselor with questions and for support before entering their course selections.
3. February 28th is the next "Post-Secondary Planning Evening" for Juniors and Parents featuring a College Admissions Panel with representatives from some of the schools to which a majority of our students apply. The evening will begin at 6:30 PM in the auditorium and conclude at 8PM. If you were unable to attend the first session, you can locate the Power Point HERE in the bottom right hand corner of the Guidance webpage under "presentations".
We look forward to the next stretch of Junior Year!
Athletic Updates
The girls' swimming and diving team is off to an impressive 5-0 start and look to continue their undefeated season on Friday, January 11th against Lower Moreland. In their last competition, a win against CR South, the Titans saw individual wins from sophomore Kaylin Goodling in the 200 and 100 freestyle, sophomore Haley Scholer in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke, junior Heidi Scholer in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, and sophomore Alexandra Charlton in diving. Next week is the Titans’ biggest test of the season. On Tuesday, January 15th, the team will compete against in-league rival Souderton, who South has not defeated in several years.
The boys' swimming and diving team is training hard and hoping for some fast swims and good dives to set them up for a successful end of the year. Their record sits at 1-4, but this is not indicative of the quality of swims they have had this year. In their last meet, a close one against CR South, the team saw winning swims from sophomore Ryan Kircher in the 50 free, junior Jack Bowen in the diving competition, junior Dan Pohl in the 100 free, and senior captains Cole Martin in the 500 free, and Tom Khayt in the 200 IM as well as the 100 breaststroke.

Five players scored double figures which included Tommy Kuypers 14, Alex Dietz 13, Mark Kannengieszer 12, Ian McCaw 10, and Brock D'Aulerio10. The final score was 73-56.
On Tuesday, January 8th, the team was on the road versus CR North. The Titans played shut down defense and won 52-26 against an 8-3 North team.

The varsity team battled back from a 13-point deficit at halftime but ultimately lost 44-33.
The girls will continue their homestand on Friday, January 11th as North Penn travels to Warrington for a 5:30 PM JV tip-off and a 7:00 PM Varsity tip-off. Join both the boys' and girls’ teams for our Coaches vs. Cancer game on Tuesday, January 15th at CB South. Girls JV will tip-off at 3:30 PM and the Varsity team will tip-off at 6:00 PM. Go Titans!
