Timberwolf Times

Vol. 1 Issue 29, February 27, 2019

Hello Timberwolf Nation!

Good afternoon everyone!

Congratulations to our Destination Imagination team who will be going to State! Good luck to the students and their teacher, Ms. Trimm!

One of of our community businesses, Sundance at Woodcreek Premier Memory Care, needs your help. There has been an increase in cars turning around in their parking lot (in both the mornings and afternoons) across the street from WCJH and it is preventing staff, and families who are visiting their loved ones from getting in and out easily. They are respectfully requesting that you do not use their parking lot as a turn around when dropping off or picking up your child. Thanks so much for your help!

I hope that everyone has a good week!

Regards,

Dr. Melinda Stone

Volunteers needed for JH UIL Concert & Sight Reading Evaluation

This year, WCJH Choir is hosting the Region 23 Junior High/Middle School UIL Concert & Sight Reading Evaluation at St. Peter’s UMC in Katy (20775 Kingsland Blvd. Katy 77450). This event requires quite a bit of help. We will host schools from Houston ISD, Katy ISD, Alief ISD, and some private schools in that area. It is a great way to hear a lot of great singing.

To give you an idea of the event: each choir sings 3 prepared pieces for a panel of judges, and then they sight read a new song they have never seen for a panel of 3 different judges. Our choirs from WoodCreek Junior High will perform, too. Any help is greatly appreciated.

ID Sweeps

We have seen an increase of students taking off their IDs in in the middle of the day. Remember they must be on and visible at all times. We will begin doing ID sweeps starting next week and assigning a detention for those that do not have their ID or a temporary ID on. We want to keep our campus as safe as possible and we need to be able to identify all students at all times. Thanks so much for your help to keep our students safe!
