Noteworthy News

We've been busy this week learning how to be a third grader. Everyone has learned third grade expectations, how to manage their belongings, what good readers look like and how scientists investigate. We've practiced our skills and are ready to start conquering third grade content! Come to our Back to School Night next week to hear what we will learn this year and what to expect!

Also, if you haven't already noticed, SCES is on Twitter this year! You can follow @SCESgators and see what we've been up to!

What We're Studying This Week

Things to Know

During the first week of school, we've already earned our first Golden Gator! For a reward, we will be having stuffed animal day tomorrow (Friday, September 16). The students and I went through all of the requirements today so they know what is allowed to come to school and what animals need to stay at home. Any stuffed animals coming in to school must be able to fit in your child's backpack, can not make noise and any "extras" (outfits, accessories, etc.) that can be taken on and off need to stay at home. The kids have worked hard to earn their SNAPS and they are very excited for their first celebration!
