What We're Studying This Week
We will be learning about text features in non-fiction stories and how to use them.
We will learn about equality in math and continue to work with the commutative and identity properties.
We will learn the difference between rules and laws. We will also learn about the different levels of government (local, state, & federal) and the roles of each in making laws.
Things to Know
During the first week of school, we've already earned our first Golden Gator! For a reward, we will be having stuffed animal day tomorrow (Friday, September 16). The students and I went through all of the requirements today so they know what is allowed to come to school and what animals need to stay at home. Any stuffed animals coming in to school must be able to fit in your child's backpack, can not make noise and any "extras" (outfits, accessories, etc.) that can be taken on and off need to stay at home. The kids have worked hard to earn their SNAPS and they are very excited for their first celebration!
