Rogers' Weekly Updates
May 30th week
Last Week's happenings:
This week we finished up fairy tales as we acted out the 3 Billy Goats Gruff several times and made the setting and puppets to retell at home.
Letterland was focused on the silent magic E and how it changes vowels to a long vowel sound. Please continue to look for words like this as your read this summer. (Ex: bike, note, cane, kite)
Students started a memory book for the end of the year that will come home next week.. Beach blast was such a great time full of water play, water slides, hula hoops, relays, and of course sprinklers.
Today's Fun Day was just that. We had a storyteller from the Mooresville library. Please make sure you get your child there to register for the FREE summer reading program. We also did art with Ms. Tucker, dance and movement with Ms. Stowers and fun in the sun on the field with relay races, water games, and more. Lots of great smiles were captured as seen below.
Next week will be beach/summer theme activities. We will also celebrate summer birthdays, and finish our memory books.
- June 8th-Last day of school! Year in review program will start at 9:30 am and school releases at 11:00 for ALL students.
Rain rain, go away
Indoor recess had to happen a few times this week due to 3rd grade testing and the rain storms we've had. Great teamwork helped to complete this puzzle of a world map.
