A Dawn of a New Year
Team Columbia:
The dawn of a new school year brings about new beginnings. The new school year is a time to refocus on targeted goals, stand firm on collective commitments, and meet and welcome new team members. We are definitely off to a great start this year. We have narrowed down our focus this year into the following areas:
1. Increasing Literacy Proficiency
2. Increasing Math Proficiency
3. Strengthening our IB Programme
4. Improving ACT Plus Writing Proficiency through the Alignment of Standards with the Curriculum.
Focusing on these four things mean that all we do should point back to our foci. We are moving forward on establishing our vision and beliefs as a constant reminder of why we do what we do.
Please check out the article on Classroom Management located at the bottom of the newsletter. Thank you Mr. Hayden for this contribution.
As we receive our students on Wednesday, I wish each of you the best first week of school possible. Make every moment count!

The doors are looking great! It is an expectation that all will decorate their door. I would like to see 100% participation! This can be the first collective thing we can do, all in. Let's strive for the goal of 100% participation from all, no matter your job at the school.
