Ripon Cathedral School Update
Week ending Friday 14th September 2018
Fabulous Forest School
Forest Schools
Children in Year 1 and Year 2 began their Forest School sessions! These are great educational experiences in the outdoors that encourage a love of learning, risk taking and respect for out environment. In Year 1 the children got stuck into the mud kitchen and they enjoyed making leaf crowns. At the end of their session they tucked into popcorn that had been made on the fire!
A Huge Thank You!
The Forest School adventure could not have managed such a good start without the support of our school families and their places of work. Danford, Brewer and Ives generously donated almost all of the building type supplies we needed. The National Trust are also on board and our thanks go to the Fountains Abbey staff who helped bring in logs. Several other parents have brought in everything from cable drums to old pots and pans for the mud kitchen - our grateful thanks to all.

Celebration and Welcome Worship Assemblies
Individual class teachers will be letting you know when Thursday class celebrations will resume along with their timings. These assemblies are a great time to let you know about the children's learning and achievement. We will also be sharing with you our work about the Christian values that we have been exploring and how they help us to live our lives.
Welcome Worship assemblies will take place in the school Chapel on Thursday mornings at 9.00am.
If you are able to attend we would love to see you.
