PLEASANT LAKE ELEMENTARY
End of the Year Pick Up and Exchange of Student Items
A Message From Mr. Maktari
I want to thank all of our students, parents, and staff for their resiliency, grit, patience, and support over the last several weeks. The 2019-2020 school year is ending with so many lost opportunities but with also a deeper appreciation for what we previously had and may have taken took for granted.
What we have not lost is our ability to persevere through tough times, uncertainties, and yet still remain positive. We must remain focused and have hope that we can get through whatever comes next.
Remember that parents have the biggest impact on how a child will react to a challenging time period and/or event. If you remain positive and focused on your CIRCLE OF CONTROL, then your child will most likely react to the situation in a positive manner and take away a powerful and lasting skill set that will benefit them now and in the future.
Below is a plan that will help us exchange student materials in a safe way. There will be some staff members helping with this plan, but not all. I share this because I don't want students and families to think their teacher will be available to say goodbye as you drive up to school to pick up student items. I am just trying to be proactive so our children are not disappointed.
I want to thank all of you for your continued support during this very challenging time for everyone. Continue to stay safe, hopeful, and strong!
