Comcast customer outage 11/10
We have been alerted by Comcast that their service update taking place on 11/10 from 9:30-11:30am will potentially impact students learning from home on this day. As a result we have instructed teachers to provide asynchronous work and to the best extent possible, limit the teaching of new content. We understand that this will impact students ability to access remote learning and will be flexible with families experiencing any disruptions in service.
Comcast has also let us know that they will be providing a cable to keep HW in service with the exception of about 20 minutes on Tuesday morning. Any calls that need to be made to HW can go to the Central office at 781-937-8233 x11207. Comcast will alert customers when the update is complete.

Woburn Parent Network Programs
After starting the Woburn Parent Network (WPN) with six successful virtual presentations, the next WPN will focus on our end goal of building a community where parents can support each other and find resources. SCI Woburn invites parents to attend the WPN Parent Support Forum: an evening of conversation centered on parent-to-parent connections and ways the WPN can continue to support your efforts.
The WPN Parent Support Forum will take place on two separate nights to address the needs of both the hybrid school population and those of the fully remote population:
1. Parents of students in the fully remote model: Tuesday, November 10th at 6 PM, via Zoom
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83064004135?pwd=RkZYRWNvc2Q4b1hzOGtVRkQvMTFBdz09
2. Parents of students in the hybrid mode: Wednesday, November 11th at 6pm, via Zoom
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81823545195?pwd=YmozeUhPZjBUQndKUkFENzVKYjIxQT09
Both Forums will follow the same format: there will be a brief introduction before dividing up into smaller groups for discussion. Based on the number of registrants, groups may be divided by grade/s for more relevant conversation. We are also ready to facilitate groups in Spanish, Portuguese, and Creole. Each group will have a discussion leader with a few questions prepared to get the conversation started.
*The Woburn Parent Network is a collaboration between SCI Woburn, Woburn Public Schools and The James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club. The WPN was formed in April to help bring relevant programming to and encourage productive conversation between the parents of Woburn. This project is funded through CHNA 15 DoN funds from Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. Since April, WPN has presented six successful events through Zoom.
