FRESHMAN ORIENTATION

It is highly recommended that all freshmen participate in this program as it will assist in easing the transition to high school. Since this is the only orientation program provided for freshmen, students unable to attend this full day event should plan to attend the general all-school material pick-up time from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM on Monday, August 9th.
Please note that students attending Freshman Orientation will remain at school from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM. Scheduled activities start promptly at 8:30 AM and end at 3:00 PM. Freshmen will be provided a pizza lunch midday. If your child cannot or does not want to eat the provided lunch, they are welcome to bring a sack lunch from home.
All unvaccinated students should wear a mask while inside the building. We will have masks available for any students who need or want one to wear. Freshmen, please have your rides drop you off near the auditorium entrance. We hope to see you there!
CALLING ALL SOPHOMORES
On Tuesday, August 3rd, from 1:00-3:00 PM, St. Charles North High School will host its Sophomore Class Culture Day. Please RSVP to the event by filling out this quick form: Sophomore Culture Day RSVP
Sophomores will start their time in the Auditorium where they will meet with representatives from the Class of 2022. There, the seniors will share information on the sophomore experience and what the current sophomores can do to reintegrate into high school without missing a beat. Sophomores can also ask questions and get advice.
Then it's time to practice Small Games in the Stadium! We will work on ways to bring the heat to this year's Homecoming competitions and make sure you are ready for this year. You don't want to miss out on the action! So throw on some yellow sophomore spirit wear and get together with your fellow Class of 2024 friends to find out some cultural information to make this year the best year ever. Let's jumpstart the fun and bring back all of the excitement of being a North Star!
Material Pick-Up-Grades 10-12
July 28th, 1:00-7:00 pm
July 30th, 8:00 am- 3:00 pm
August 2nd, 1:00-7:00 pm
Make-Up Night: August 9th 4:00-7:00 pm (This is for students who cannot make any of the other dates. No sign up required for this night)
For July 28, July 30, and August 2 events, parents must sign up their child for a one-hour time slot by signing up here: https://pickatime.com/cusd/StCNMaterialPickUp (you may have to cut and paste this address into your web browser)
Parents should only be signing up their sophomore, junior, or senior during this time. A separate Freshman Orientation Day will be happening on August 5th and a sign-up for that event will be sent in another email.
Parents logging in for the first time must login with their email address on file and create a password.
Appointments should not take one hour and students are able to show up at any time during their one-hour appointment time. They are not required to show up at the top of the hour.
Students will enter at Door #12, the Auditorium entrance.
Due to COVID restrictions, only students are allowed in the building for this appointment, and masks should be worn by unvaccinated students.
COVID self-certification is not required.
Yearbook Pick-Up
Yearbook pick up for your 2020-2021 Yearbook will be a bit different this year due to Covid-19. Below, please find the information on getting your yearbook for graduates and for current North Stars.
Graduates:
Option #1- You or a family member can come to SCN on August 9th or August 10th from 4-7 pm to get your book. Pick up will be outside of the main entrance (weather permitting) so you will not need to enter the building.
Option #2- Have your book shipped to you. For this option, please mail a check for $8 to St. Charles North High School with your shipping address to 255 Red Gate Road, St. Charles, IL 60175 ATTN: Ms. Lindsay Boynton
Option #3- Pick your book up in the main office during regular business hours of 7:30 am-3:00 pm Monday-Friday beginning the week of August 16th
Current Students:
Option #1- You or a family member can come to SCN on August 9th or August 10th from 4-7 pm to get your book. Pick up will be outside of the main entrance (weather permitting) so you will not need to enter the building.
Option #2- Pick up your book during lunch periods August 25th-27th. Those in Peer Leadership will have their books delivered to their PL classroom.
Option #3- You or a family member can pick up your book from 2:45 pm-7:00 pm on Monday, August 30th
If you did not preorder a book and would still like to purchase one, a 2020-2021 Yearbook can be added to a current student Pushcoin account by SCN staff at pickup. Graduates would need to bring a check made out to SCN for $45.
