Update from Our School Social Worker
Free Meals
As we transition to distance learning for two weeks from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11, our nutrition services team is working to make meals more available to all children, ages 18 and under. Families can choose between two options each week.
- Bulk Frozen Meals In addition to the normal Wednesday pickups, families are able to pick up bulk frozen meals on Mondays during this distance learning period, on Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Families that choose the bulk frozen meal option may only pick up once per week. Preorder your bulk frozen meals here.
- Daily Hot Meals Families can pick up daily hot meals Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Congress Middle School and Walden Middle School. During distance learning, we will also have a hot meal pickup location at Graden Elementary. Meals must be ordered by 7:30 a.m. the day of pick-up. This is a change from the Spring. Find more information about daily hot meals, and the link to sign up, here.
In addition, Feed Northland Kids is offering a FREE community food kit each week to Park Hill families. These kits are distributed at our Support Services building every Wednesday. A voucher is needed to receive a food kit. if you are interested, fill out this form. I will then email you the voucher.
Also, if your family might qualify for free or reduced-price meals, please complete the 2020-2021 meal benefit application in your SchoolCafe account, if you have not already done so. This form also helps us get needed funding for district services for students. And if you are signed up this year, you won't have a gap in services at the beginning of the next school year. If you qualify for free or reduced-price meals, you are eligible for additional discounts on things like health care, college application fees, athletics, AP class fees, and fees for the SAT and ACT tests. Free/Reduced Lunch guidelines can be found here.
HotSpot Sign-Up - FREE Internet
If your family is in need of internet access at home, please fill out this form to receive a FREE WiFi HotSpot-- https://www.parkhill.k12.mo.us/cms/one.aspx?portalId=62500&pageId=49598386
If you need any assistance filling out the form, or have any questions or concerns about internet access, please contact our school social worker, Ellie Logan. Southeast wants to make sure all students have the ability to learn from home!
If there is anything you or your family need help with, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be available from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday during distance learning.

This week we awarded 9,848 PBIS Leadership Points!
- 1st Quarter Total: 50,858 points
This year we are working hard to recognize students for all the great things that they are doing. When staff notice students following our school PBIS expectations (Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Proactive, Be a Leader) they often award students a Leadership Point.
Do you know a Park Hill Star?
The Park Hill Star recognition program was started in 2015 to celebrate support staff and teachers whose work is especially noteworthy.
The following is an overview of the Park Hill Star Program:
Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students. That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee.
Southeast Communication
You will find several ways to stay up to date on school activities on the Southeast website , Facebook, and newsletters from your child’s teacher. You will also occasionally get an automated email or voicemail message sent to you, by the school, with important information and reminders. We know two-way communication is best, so please feel free to call or email with any questions you may have regarding your child’s education.
