This is our monthly newsletter posted on the 1st of each month during the regular school year. You will find upcoming dates, events or information in regards to school-wide activities or polices/procedures. The newsletter is linked on our website, Instagram, Facebook & sent via Remind. We do our best to put all school information in the newsletter!
Upcoming Dates
- May 1st: CPT Meeting 11:00 a.m.
- May 1st: Family Literacy Night 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. (see below)
May 4th: 4th Grade Field Trip to Lake Walcott
- May 4th: Kindergarten Bowling Field Trip
- May 5th: Teacher Door Decorating anytime from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- May 8th-11th: Teacher Appreciation Week
- May 10th: 4th Grade Field Trip to Minidoka Museum
- May 10th: K-3 Ag Expo 11:30-2:00 p.m. Rupert Fair Grounds
- May 11th: 3rd Grade Field Trip to Herrett Center
- May 11th: 5th Grade Wax Museum 12:30
- May 25th: 1st Grade Science Presentation for Parents 1:00 p.m.
- June 1st: Early Dismissal 1:00 p.m. Last Day of School
*March 13th - May 12th: ISAT Testing Window 3rd - 5th grade. A specific schedule will be sent out at a later time.
Teacher Appreciation Week
May 8th - 11th
This is our FAVORITE week of the year! We are celebrating all the wonderful teachers at AES each day. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to decorate doors. Can't wait to spoil our teachers!!!

Testing
We have finished ISATS!!! The next couple of weeks we will finish with K-3 IRI testing & iStation for our 4th & 5th graders. Thank you to your support!
Library Books
Please take a look around your home & make sure all library books have been accounted for. We will notify parents of missing books here in a couple of weeks. We appreciate your help & support to keep our library books in good condition.
Field Trips
Please make sure you have signed and returned permission slips for field trips. These are required before the students can go.
Hiring!
We are still currently looking for a self-contained para-professional (part-time). If you or anyone you know might be interested please pass the word around. You can apply online at www.minidokaschools.org
May Reading Challenge
Make a comic strip about a book you have read during May. Bring in for a prize!
CPT Information
Door Decorating
If you signed up to decorate a door, please come into the school on Friday, May 5th anytime from 8:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m.
