Teacher Appreciation Week
In honor of teacher appreciation week, we wanted to take the time to recognize all that you do every day to enrich the lives of our students. We know that a teacher’s life is a busy life, where every second of every day needs to be maximized and utilized to its fullest potential. While we can’t give you more time in the day, we can at least give you some time-saving tips and tricks that might make your life a little easier.
Make Chrome work for you!
Sign into Chrome! Open your Chrome browser, look for the person icon (top right, next to the minimize icon), sign into your @wwprsd account and link data. Saved bookmarks and installed extensions will appear in your browser, saving you time when accessing frequently visited sites, like Genesis!
Save bookmarks on your Chrome Bookmark Bar using just the site icon (called a favicon). Click the star in the address bar of the website you wish to bookmark, remove any text from “name,” and change the location to “Bookmark Bar.” This saves you space! You can also save bookmarks into organized folders.
Check out these additional tips for organizing your digital life.

Tech Tools of the Week
There are 24 days left in the school year (yikes!? yay!?), which means the crunch to get everything graded is on! Why not check out some of these add-ons and extensions to make the grading workload a little more bearable.
Permanent Clipboard - Ever repeat yourself in comments in a Google Doc? Try ‘Permanent Clipboard’ extension and set up your canned comments. Anytime you need to insert one of your statements, just right-click and select the one you want. ***Will not work within the main area of Google items***
Draftback Ever wish you could see if students copied & pasted? Try the ‘Draftback’ extension and click the button within a Google Doc to see a rendered video of the creation of the Doc.
Drive 20 Ever have a folder of assignments in your Drive and wanted to save time opening each and grading? Try ‘Drive 20’ extension in conjunction with ‘Ctrl + w’. ‘Drive 20’ allows you to open multiple files in a folder at one time (you can customize the # of files to open). Then start with the last tab, when finished use the shortcut to close the tab.
Don’t forget about the Doctopus-Goobric grading workflow that we previously shared or the options for providing students with feedback.
Tech Refresh
Save time creating quizzes, or end of year reflections in Google Forms with these add-ons. Even consider uploading and converting an existing Word doc into Google Drive to use these tools.
Doc to Form or Formenate Ever have a document with questions that you would love to have as a Google Form? ‘Doc to Form’ add-on is to the rescue! ***Note: it gives you 10 question transfers for each Doc but then prompts you to make a donation for more.***
‘Formenate’ add-on will also rescue you! Take a number question list in a Doc, with answer choices laid out in alpha order & convert to a Form
