We are still putting the finishing touches to our class organisation. The children will be told which class they will be in and letters will be sent home on the 10th December.
Our end of year Learning Journey Reports are being emailed home today. We apologise for a couple of hiccups with the sending of Room 1 and 2's Learning Journeys. If you have not received this via email by 3.00pm today can you please contact the school office. These are sent out via our schools student management system. We have also sent home today, to each family, an overview of how to read your child's Learning Journey and how this information is connected to the New Zealand Curriculum and our our schools Learning Stars. If your son or daughter started school during Term 4 they will not be receiving an end of year Learning Journey Report.

We will also try and answer any questions you may have. All Welcome.
LOST PROPERTY

These are something that will need to be pruchased by families. We will not have these for sale at school. If you have any questions about his please chat with your child's classroom teacher.
SCHOOL POOL
Children can bring their togs to school from next week and depending on the weather may have the opportunity to have a swim.
We have replaced the pool lock so everyone will need to return last years numbered pool key.
New keys will be issued for the new swim season. Costs are being finalised.
Families can pop in and request a new pool key from Monday 7th December.
STAR DAY OUT - YEAR 6 - 8
The star day out for all Y6-8 children that have completed their star challenges will be held on Friday 11th December. All children involved in this should have received a notice to bring home and share last week.
FROM THE SPORTS DESK
Colour Run:
On Thursday 3rd December (Week 8), the Student Council and the Sports Council are organising a fun run. In this fun run, we will have a range of activities for children to take part in. We encourage all children to participate in this event. This is not only a fun run, it is a colour run. So we would like everyone to dress up in white. Please remember that this does not mean everything you are wearing has to be white, just try to wear something white or alternatively some old, light coloured clothing. Children will have coloured powder thrown on them while they are completing various activities. This is a fundraising event and we will be raising money to go to the Local Food Bank to help people in need. If you could bring a gold coin or a food item from home, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
The Student and Sports Council.
Water Day:
On Thursday 10th December the sports council will be running a water day from 1.50-2.45pm. All children will need to bring togs, rash vest ( if they have one)towels and sunblock for this afternoon.
Cricket
From week 3-8 the whole school has been lucky enough to receive cricket training with Chris from Taranaki Cricket on a Friday. This has been a great experience for all ages and the children thoroughly enjoy the skills and games that we are being taught.
Taranaki Track and Field Championships
On Tuesday the 24th of November, 10 of the Year 7 and 8’s competed in the Taranaki Track and Field Athletics event 2020 in Inglewood. We entered a range of both track and field events and although nobody got any placings or into finals, we still had a great day and we had lots of fun. A big thanks to Tracy for organising and to Tracy, Rebecca and Kim for helping out on the day.
