EHS Summer Session 2021
You may have already heard the news that EHS will be offering a Summer Session from July 6-July 29, 2021. This communication is to help spread the word and to answer questions we have been receiving about this new program - click here to learn more.
Celebrating our Retiring Faculty and Staff
A group of faculty and staff members known as School Year’s Eve (SYE) have organized a number of events to celebrate our retiring community members.
5/25 & 5/28: Linda Cloutier-Namdar - Wear Red for Ed (Education, of course)
SYE Members - Barb Isham, Eric Langevin, Maria Royer, Jen Luck, Erin Schmitt, Tory Couture, Sunny Leporati, Arielle Boutwell, Mary Krug, Leo Labonte, Micky Bonges, Jeff Goodrich
Celebration Time
Let's celebrate the end of this unprecedented year on a high note. We are looking to celebrate the extraordinary work and effort put forth by both students and faculty/staff. To that end, we've created two new opportunities to recognize and horn anyone who is worthy. Students, staff, and the community are welcome to nominate someone for one of the following categories.
Buzzworthy- a student who did something noteworthy that might have gone unrecognized until this point.
Hornet Hero- Faculty or Staff that has gone above and beyond this year!
If you have any questions please contact Barb Isham or Paul Adams.

Bike Fix and Swap Event
Essex CHIPS and community partners are coming together on Sunday, May 30th for the Bike Fix and Swap at Maple Street Park from 9:00AM - 3:00PM.
To make this event happen it relies on the kind donations of bikes from community members. Maple Street Park is now accepting donations on weekdays from 10:00AM - 2:00 PM. If this time frame does not work for you email nancy@essexchips.org.
During the event youth can get free bikes that were donated and fix them up with help from community partners. CHIPS and Local Motion will be providing free helmets for youth 3-18 years of age. There will also be bike safety lessons throughout the day for different age groups all at no cost.
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
If you have questions about the Bike Fix and Swap email justin@essexchips.org.
Spring Clean-Up Day at Indian Brook Park
On Saturday, May 22nd from 1-3pm, the Conservation & Trails Committee will hold the 5th Annual Spring Clean-Up Day at Indian Brook Park on Saturday, May 22nd from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
After a year-long hiatus due to COVID, the CTC is excited to bring folks back to continue removing invasive species from the park. The event will be largely the same as in years past, except that this year participants are asked to bring their own tools, water, snacks, and masks if they are not fully vaccinated. Meet at the Indian Brook picnic area (above the dam).
