On the TRAIL - for Mustang Families
We are MT - MUSTANG STRONG!
We value your feedback as we strive for continuous improvement
I hope you had a wonderful 3 day weekend and were able to get out and enjoy the sunshine.
Many of you have been helpful in participating in surveys and giving feedback recently.
We are currently working with our Leadership group, School Site Council and others to identify strengths and areas of need based on the data you and your students have provided.
In addition to that, we are in the midst of our WASC self-study and at the time when we are working to do program evaluation from 2020-21 and to begin creating our LCAP goals for the 2021-22 school year.
Thank you to all who have given us feedback!
Keep an eye out for more ways you can participate and give input/feedback.
MT Regional Coalition Equity Listening Sessions:
As you may recall in the weekly newsletter, we have been working to create listening sessions for our staff, students and parents/guardians related to our work with the MT Regional Equity Coalition.
What do we hope to gain from the upcoming virtual listening sessions:
In these sessions, we will be able to gather feedback and input from all stakeholders to specifically help our school and region meet the needs of our African American and Black students.
Facilitation of this work will be done in partnership with Innovation Bridge so that administrators can introduce the purpose but then step away to remove any potential concern about giving authentic feedback.
The facilitators will then share the feedback from all stakeholders with us to help us identify great successes, areas of growth (we have things in place but need to keep adjusting it), and potential areas for innovative thinking to help our students. The information will help us not only in our daily work at the site and region but also as we determine future LCAP goals to meet the needs of all of our students.
When will these virtual listening sessions take place?
Student listening session: Jan. 27th from 2-3:20
Family/Parent listening session: Jan. 27th from 5-6:30
How do I get more information?
A flyer will be sent via Synergy email early this week. Please use the information there to register for the listening sessions. This will help our facilitators to be able to prepare for the correct number of participants.
We will be working on creating WASC surveys as needed to help us to gather more input to be sure we focus our funding and programs where there are areas of need for our community.
We will also ask for parent/family participation in the WASC process as part of a "Home Group - Parents" and "Home Group - Students". Watch for a sign up coming soon.
This will help us greatly in our self student and work with the WASC committee so please consider being a part of the process.
We look forward to your participation.
Lastly, as always, let's help each other stay safe and healthy!
If you need anything, don't hesitate to reach out and we will do our best to support you.
Stay safe and healthy and have a great week!
