We’re back. Last night the 7th and 8th-grade football teams were on fire. The 8th grade started from behind, but quickly took control of the game defeating their opponent 14 to 6. The 7th-grade team refused to give up and kept Glenwood away from the goal line. They outscored Glenwood 14 to 0. Congratulations to coaches and athletes on their teamwork and sportsmanship.
The 7th and 8th-grade volleyball teams started their season out undefeated. Both A and B teams battled through three games to come out on top of the matches. Congratulations to coaches and athletes on their accomplishment last night.
There are no more class schedule changes until the second semester. Second semester will begin in January.
Students who want to switch lunches can only switch to second lunch. First lunch is full. You can talk with your friends to see if they are willing to switch.
The deadline to sign up for 3rd-6th grade Parks and Rec. girls basketball is this Friday, September 15. Practice will be on Mondays and Wednesdays after October 9. The cost is $55 to play. Athletes need to sign up at the Parks and Rec Center.
7th and 8th-grade students who are interested in attending the Washington DC trip there will be a meeting on Tuesday, September 19 at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria. There is a cost to attend however, fundraising opportunities are available. It is an amazing trip and well worth attending. If you have questions see Ms. Paine.
Next week is Grand Valley High School Homecoming week. To help support GVHS, we will be dressing up. On Tuesday and Friday, Student Ambassadors will have sheets to record student participation. Mrs. Speakman will come to CREWS on Tuesday and Wednesday to get totals. At the end of the day the CREW with the most students participating will receive 25 Panther Points for each member of the CREW and a piece of candy.
Tuesday- Crazy Sock Day
Wednesday- Country Western vs Country Club Day- cowboy hats and bandanas will be allowed this day only
Thursday- Generation Day- students dress like senior citizens and teachers dress like students
Friday- Everything Red and Black Day
