Join CT NOFA and the Green Village Initiative at Reservoir Community Farm in Bridgeport, Connecticut for an exciting, hands-on vermi-composting workshop with Master Gardener Nicholas Mancini and a farm tour led by farm manager Ellie Angerame!
This interactive workshop will teach you in the in's and out's of simple home or garden composting. You will leave with the confidence and tools necessary to turn your own food scraps into a productive, organic soil amendment.
Hungry for more? Take home some fresh, organic Connecticut-grown produce from the Reservoir Community Farm's bountiful farm stand, open from 10am to 3pm on site!

COMPOSTING WORKSHOP AND FARM TOUR
This workshop provides a unique opportunity for small-scale farmers, homeowners, families, and organic enthusiasts to explore the magic of composting up close! Practical ways to integrate both simple and sophisticated composting techniques into your modern lifestyle will be discussed.
Our workshop host, Nick Mancini, is a Master Gardener specializing in organic fruits and vegetables. With decades of experience, Nick is an established author, teacher, lecturer, garden consultant and coach. He is also the creator/host of: Organic Gardening with Nick Mancini, an educational television program on Public Access (Cablevision) aired in Southwestern Connecticut. We are eager to learn alongside Nick as he shares his wealth of knowledge and passion for composting!
