December 2019

Tis' the season...

The Christmas season is upon us! It's a time for family and joy and lights and music! Yes!!

Also, a time where regular schedules can be a bit sporadic. Please try to keep a regular bedtime for your student. This helps them focus better in school.

There is a lot of activity in December at school too. We try to keep a regular routine most days to help our students, but we do sprinkle in some fun!

Check with your student's teacher for classroom activities, and see the Upcoming Events section for school-wide activities.

Highlight of the month will be the Christmas concert on December 16th!

Christmas Concert is December 16th at 6:30 p.m.

STUDENTS NEED TO ARRIVE AT 6:00 AND REPORT TO THEIR CLASSROOM. Preschool students report to the cafeteria.

After the concert, please wait until students are back in their classrooms to pick up your child. This is to ensure all students are safe and do not get lost in the crowd!

PIE means Partners in Education

So far this year, we have been support by the following businesses, by providing prizes for students who reach their reading and math goals:
  • Country Cupboard
  • Generational Builders
  • Jamesport Bar & Grill
  • Jamie Wray, Massage Therapist
  • Tri-County Weekly Newspaper

November Talent Show

Tri-County Elementary has some great talent! Our students performed dances, and plays. There was joke telling, magic and stories read. And in the end some "old ladies" came out to dance!

2019-2020 Attendence is looking a little rough.....sickness has taken several students out of school for a few days! We HOPE everyone is better soon!

August 95.5%

September 98.4%

October 92.3%

PACT

Not sure what PACT is? PACT stands for Parents and Children Together! It is a Title I program of the Tri-County R-VII School District and has been implemented since 1993! Every Tuesday from the end of the school day until 4:15, parents can come with their student and check out games and movies in the Elementary entry. Just return the items the following Tuesday so someone else can check it out.

If you have any questions, please contact Traci Savage at 684-6117.

Please remember to send a note when your student's after school plans change. Often we have students who are confused about where they go, and a note clears it up very quickly! Thank you!
