A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
This week is an important one for all of our current Freshmen-Juniors. By the end of this week, students will be submitting their 2023-24 course requests. These requests should reflect planning, reflection, and deliberation that will enable our students to pursue their preferred pathways and branch out to experience the rich offerings we have. If they have any questions, students can connect with teachers in specific content areas, their advisor, and our school counseling team. The course requests made inform the construction of our schedule. Please talk to your student about their plan!
With Saber Pride,
Mr. Vuolo

POWERSCHOOL APP NEEDS UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL
Aside from parents and students being able to access PowerSchool (our student information system) on the web here, there is also a PowerSchool Mobile app. We were made aware by PowerSchool late last week that as of Wednesday, December 6th, if parents or students currently have the PowerSchool Mobile app on your device that you should completely uninstall and delete the app and reinstall the app fresh from the iOS App Store for iPhone/iPad (here) or Android Store (here). The reason for this reinstall is due to an upgrade of systems behind the scenes that makes the older version of the app incompatible. When signing in to the app fresh, you will be prompted for our school district’s code which is SHWH.
REGISTRATION FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR IS NOW OPEN!
Registration opened at noon on Monday, December 5th for the 2023-24 school year on our website here. Registration is for any new families to Franklin or new students looking to register for next year in 4K, 5K or up through 12th grade. If you have any friends or family in Franklin that plan to have children attend Franklin Public Schools next year, please pass this information along to them! Registering early helps to get all information in our system for planned communications.
Please note that any student that is already attending Franklin Public Schools DOES NOT need to register for next school year as a new student. All parents/guardians will be required to review your student’s data during our summer Back-To-School Online Check-In process. Any family who knows a student will not be returning for the next school year should notify your school’s main office staff.
