The Oxford Update
Oxford Elementary School
"A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees." Amelia Earhart
The past eleven months have been challenging and it seems as if the world is a little sad and less vibrant these days. While we might not live in a perfect world right now, we can teach our children to be more compassionate to help build a better future. A future where you help others not because you have to but because you want to.
Next week, from January 25th to the 29th, the Oxford Elementary School will be taking part in The Great Kindness Challenge. This program is dedicated to creating a culture of kindness and compassion within our school that will ripple across our community. It is our hope that our students will realize that no act of kindness is ever wasted and by the end of the week, they will have completed and received random acts of kindness that will make them smile and feel the joy that kindness brings.
We will be sharing more information with families at the end of the week so that you can support The Great Kindness Challenge at home as well. We hope that our students will take the challenge and not only spread kindness at school but at home and throughout our community as well. The world can use a little more kindness right now and the students and staff at OES are up for the challenge! We hope you will join us.
