Class Configurations and Staffing
As we prepare for the start of the 2020-2021 school year we wanted to share our planned class configurations and staffing. Class configurations are based on our shift to a 20:1 student teacher ratio in K-2, 33:1 ratio in 3-6 and on our student enrollment in our current CDL model. You will also notice that our Music and P.E. Specialists have been temporarily moved to the classroom in order to accomplish this lower class size in K-2. Our goal is to bring K-2 students back at least four days a week at the 20:1 student teacher ratio when it is safe to do so. We believe in a well-rounded education and the value of Music and P.E. For this year we will be providing Music and P.E. asynchronously/on demand through the regular google classroom provided by a district Music and P.E. teacher, so that lessons can be done at a time that works best for your student. This will allow us to continue to offer these options to our students and shift back to our previous model when we return full time to our buildings and it is safe to do so. We anticipate being able to send out your child's teacher information on September 1st.
