Principal's Message
PTC Meeting Update: We are working to develop some ways to increase participation in activities the PTC sponsor. If as a parent you can not participate in the event, please feel free to contribute in other ways. We will try to do a better job of communicating those needs using our School's APP and the notification system. The PTC will be helping with our EMPOWERME Testing for grades 3-5 and providing snacks and motivational messages to our students. Other topics discussed: The Family Dance (March 22), Book Fair (April 2), Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6th) and Pancake Breakfast (May 29) Next meeting will be held on March 6th and Officer King will attend to talk about his role as Resource Officer for RSU 34.
Friday Helpers: We are looking for some additional volunteers to help on Fridays. Our teachers have many things to prepare for and use this group of Friday Helpers to assist with their busy schedules. Each Friday morning, we have a small group of parents or friends who come together to copy, cut, laminate and put together simple classroom materials right here at OTES. We even provide morning snacks! If this works for you, just stop by any Friday from 7:45-10:00 and we will help you get to this group.
Log your volunteer hours here: We are hoping you'd provide 10 hours of support to our school. Support can come in many forms.

We are hoping our families will log at least 10 hours of support for our school this year.
Looking Ahead to the Week of January

The students will be testing on February 13th and will have the testing experience in Mr. Rand's classroom. Mr. Rand will stay in the classroom, but the testing is done by other teachers appointed by the NAEP.
