At Dixons Kings, we live by our core values. Integrity is always doing the right thing and keeping true to your moral principles. Diligence is the necessity of giving attention to detail in order to avoid error and overcome obstacles. Finally, Civility is about showing everyone consideration and respect. Our appreciations newsletter celebrates the members of our academy family who exhibit these values and climb the mountain to success. We also champion the family members who, during their climb, have shown themselves to be unique, ambitious and creative.

Winston Plowes Visit to DKA - Students experiencing typing on typewriters and learning about the different variety of typewriters

“It was good to experience how people used to type on a typewriter and to see the different ranges of typewriters, my favourite was the blue one, it was nice to type on” Iffraz Ahmed, Year 8.
I liked this typewriter because although it is old fashioned it is easy to use. I now like typewriters since using one of these for the first time. Haseeb Ahmed 8Cam3

DKA Limited Edition Cookbook

A small group of Year 9 and 10 students took part in a national enterprise competition called ‘Tenner Challenge’

Members of staff, parents and students all contributed their signature recipes to be published in this cookbook and is jam packed with mouth watering recipes, some of which include:

  • Mr. Miley's healthy and warming fish stew
  • Mr. Box's warm prawn and avocado
  • Farkhan's classic chicken tikka
  • Aneeqa's beautiful banoffee pie
  • Kajal's lush lemon drizzle and many more.....
