Kdgn - 4th Grade Spring Concert Information
WHEN: Friday, March 29th @ 1:30
WHERE: Enter through Door 24W - High School Gym
WHAT TO WEAR: Dress in your best!!
Parents and the Cadott community are all encouraged to attend! We are excited to share with you the JOY of making music together.
PICK-UP INSTRUCTIONS: If you would like to take your child home with you after the concert is over, a note must be turned in to the office by 9:00 am on March 29th. This is a more efficient way for us to be sure students are safe and have all the things that they need to bring home for the break with them. You will then check your student out with their teacher after the concert is over in the high school gym. Students without a note will be brought back to the elementary school for normal bus and pick ups there.
WEATHER MAKE-UP DATE: If for some reason this crazy winter seems to hang on - we have set a make-up concert day as Monday, April 1st at 1:30. Let’s all hope we don’t need to use that option!! :)

Conscious Discipline Information
Conscious Discipline provides a comprehensive, trauma-informed social-emotional program that is based on current brain research, child development information and developmentally appropriate practices. All aspects of Conscious Discipline focus on creating a safe, connected environment for children to learn and practice the skills needed for healthy social, emotional and academic development. Conscious Discipline methodology is recognized by SAMHSA’s National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP), and it was named as a national model for character education by the Florida State Legislature. Research shows that Conscious Discipline decreases aggression, impulsivity and hyperactivity while creating a positive environment in the school or home. In schools, Conscious Discipline has been shown to decrease discipline referrals while increasing teaching time and academic achievement.

We are already seeing strong positive effects of implementing Conscious Discipline at the elementary school! After implementing Conscious Discipline this year throughout the entire elementary building we have reduced our disruptive behaviors by nearly half compared to last year!

Cadott Hornets 5th Grade Girls Basketball 2018-2019
Cadott 5 th grade girls started their season in October practicing weekly and working hard to improve their skills. The girls competed in tournaments for the Great Northwest Basketball from December to February. Because of the high number of girls on the 5 th grade team (16!) They also competed in the Cloverwood basketball league as well. This allowed the girls to get more experience and playing time by the splitting the girls up each weekend into different groups. The girls played well and grew in their skills and teamwork throughout the season at both the Great Northwest tournaments and the Cloverwood Tournaments.
December 8 th : 2 nd place in DC Everest
December 15 th : 1 st place in Bloomer
January 5 th : 2 nd place in Chetek
January 19 th : 1 st place in Chippewa Falls
February 16 th : 1 st place in Eleva-Strum
The 5 th grade coaches want to thank the girls and their parents for the hard work and time that they put into this season. The success that the girls had was a direct reflection on the time that they put in! Great work girls!
