Canada is just north of the US and Canada has a bigger area than the US by 400,00 km.

They share a Continent (North America) and has the longest border in the world, it is 5,525 miles long. The boarder is about a few feet wide so they are not that far from each other.

The economic relationship between US and Canada

The United States and Canada share a $1.4 trillion bilateral trade and investment relationship. U.S.-Canada two-way trade in goods and services totaled nearly $735 billion in 2013. U.S. and Canadian bilateral investment stock totaled $649 billion. Canada is the largest foreign supplier of oil, natural gas, and electricity to the United States. U.S. exports to Canada exceeded total U.S. exports to China, Japan, South Korea and Singapore

combined in 2013.

The Social relationship between US and Canada

Aboriginal artists were producing art in the territory that is now called Canada for thousands of years prior to the arrival of European settler colonists.Canadian literature is often divided into French and English language literature, which are rooted in the literary traditions of France and Britain.Over the years, many Canadians have made enormous contributions to the American entertainment industry, although they are frequently not recognized as Canadians.

Political Relationships

The politics of Canada function within a framework of parliamentary democracy and a federal system of parliamentary government with strong democratic traditions. Canada is a constitutional monarchy, in which the Monarch is head of state.

The United States is a federal constitution, in which the President of the United States (the head of state and head of Congress), Congress, and judiciary share powers reserved to the national government, and the federal government shares sovereignty with the state governments.
