Not too Late to Join Run Club - RUN BECAUSE YOU CAN!
A run session begins with dynamic stretches that are led by upperclassmen (4th and 5th graders). Run activities will follow, which allow children to interact and become more comfortable with school. Ultimately, the Run Club mission is to promote running in children of all ages and abilities and to organize activities that help children with developing better self-esteem, while building opportunities that encourage independent running.
If attending Run Club, all students must be sure to follow the following safety guidelines: students will be required to bring masks to enter school when run club is finished; social distancing will be practiced in accordance with district guidelines; students will utilize individual water bottles that must be labeled with student name; hand sanitizer will be available and sharing materials will be kept to a minimum. As in the past, Mr. Hoff is the primary Run Club Supervisor. Please no parent help this year. If it rains, run club will be cancelled for the day.
Please see the "Mill Street Run Club" Facebook Page and on Instagram @millstrunclub for updates and reminders.

Volunteer Opportunities for the 2021-22 School Year
Mill St. is fortunate to offer many areas of enrichment, appreciation and education for our students and staff. This wouldn't be possible if it weren't for our wonderful parent volunteers. Below are the committees we are looking for chairs for this school year. Please consider offering some of your time, you can make a difference! Please note that some of these openings require little if no time spent at school, perfect for a working parent wanting to help!
If you have any questions regarding chairing a committee or would like to volunteer, please contact Ann Pohlkamp at millstreethands@gmail.com.

Celebrating 8 years of TEAM NEF
TEAM NEF is a group of parents, teachers, staff, community members and students – from first-time 5k walkers to long-time half-marathoners and everyone in between – who will walk or run the Healthy Driven Naperville Half Marathon or 5K on Sunday, October 17, 2021 as Charity Heroes, raising funds and awareness for NEF and the schools of Naperville District 203.
This year’s event includes an in-person option in Downtown Naperville, or a virtual option where team members run or walk at the time and location that suits them best.
Every TEAM member commits to raising at least $203 by October 1. Half of the funds raised go directly to the Naperville 203 school of their choice with half going to support district-wide NEF programs. Members can also choose to have all funds raised go to NEF. Members receive an individual online fundraising page that can be shared with friends and family.
Congratulations to Naper and Steeple Run Elementary! These TWO schools had the highest % of participation (based on school enrollment) by 11:59 PM on June 9, 2021 and each will win an extra $500! To qualify for the $500, each of the participants from the winning school must meet their TEAM NEF $203 minimum fundraising commitment by Oct 1, 2021.
Naperville 203 staff are once again eligible for reimbursement.
Registration for TEAM NEF 2021 is now closed. Support the TEAM today!
Email nef@naperville203.org for more information.
