Courtship Display Between Animals

Courtship Display
Many animals have specific mating rituals to best pass on their genes. What is shown by these courtship displays ranges from species identity to the quality of the mate.
Some Examples
The Howler Monkey
When looking for a mate the Howler monkey will howl to advertise to potential mates.
The Harbor Seal
During mating season the Harbor Seal will grunt and blow bubbles to advertise availability.

South African frog (Xenopus laevis)
The South African frog advertises its availability by making a high pitched trill.
The Humpback Whale
While they are usually isolated during mating season they group up. To identify where other whales are and to show health of the other whales they "sing" to each other.
The Mocking Bird
The Mocking bird uses constant song to show endurance and defending its territory during mating season. The longer and more precise song will show that the bird has better genetics to pass on.
