MBE Counselor Newsletter

2nd Quarter 2022-2023

School Counseling Services

Counselors are essential educators and mental health professionals in the school system. We are growing graduates by teaching educational, career, personal, and social development at all ages!
In Humble ISD, we believe in a personalized approach to counseling. Each elementary student will receive one individual meeting each year with their counselor. In these meetings, students will explore their goals and aspirations, and discuss the options for their personal path in Humble ISD. Additionally, counselors will be working with students and teachers in the classroom to provide additional avenues for student success. This partnership gives Humble ISD students a unique approach to meeting their personal goals, career pathways, and setting them up for success.

Last Quarter- Say Something!

Last quarter .......we invited students and families to sign our Resolution of Respect! By signing our resolution, you are promising to be a part of our community of kindness.

THIS QUARTER - WORLD KINDNESS DAY 11/13/22

The purpose of World Kindness Day is to remind ourselves that even simple acts of kindness have the power to make this world a better place.

Red Ribbon Week

The Red Ribbon became a symbol for drug prevention in 1985, in response to the murder of DEA Special Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena. Informed Families started the first county-wide Red Ribbon campaign in 1986. In 1988, NFP sponsored the first National Red Ribbon Week® celebration. Today, the Red Ribbon serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. Since that time, the campaign has reached millions of U.S. children and families.
