Hearing and Vision Screening
Our local Lions Club will be coming to our school to provide free hearing and vision screenings for some students tomorrow, Wednesday, February 23rd. Students in PK and Kindergarten will be receiving permission forms so please be sure to return them by the end of the week. If you have a specific hearing or vision concern and wish to have your child screened, please contact Nurse Rose. Since inception, the Lions have identified thousands of students with vision and hearing deficiencies and have recommended parents see a professional for their child. They give each student they screen a report of their results to take home so that the parents can give it to a professional for action. If you have any questions about this program, please contact Nurse Rose at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The hot lunch menu for March and April is now active. Both months are combined on one order form. The order form will close this Friday February 25th, so please have all orders and balances taken care of by then. Mrs. Rutherford has rescheduled the menu chosen by our auction winner last year. During the week of March 21st - 25th, the pizza will be coming from Domino's.
Hot Lunch Volunteers Needed!
We will be having a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Drive Thru Dinner next Tuesday, March 1st from 4-7pm! We are in need of about 3-5 more volunteers to assist in set up, cooking in the kitchen, running food out to cars, collecting money and clean up. Please contact Christy Farr and Natty Jones through email email@example.com for more details or to sign up!

3rd Quarter Progress Reports
Mid-quarter progress reports for students in grades 4-8 were posted on Parent PlusPortals, last Tuesday, February 15th. Please login to check your child’s progress. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher. To find the report, click the child’s picture, then “Classroom,” then “Progress Reports,” then "Combined Reports." Please go over the reports with your children and encourage them to keep working hard through the last half of this quarter! https://www.plusportals.com/FatherAndrewWhiteSchool
This quarter, some of our middle school students are operating a school store. They are learning how to take inventory, markup items for profit, and manage the ins and outs of a business. The school store will be open every Wednesday during their elective class time. Items cost anywhere from 25 cents to $8. Please encourage your children to visit the school store! Kindly send in an envelope with money, marked with your child’s name and “School Store” so the middle schoolers know who to expect this week.
FAW News Email
Do you have an announcement you’d like to put in our weekly bulletin? Or perhaps you went to a FAW event and you’d like to share some information. We have created an email where you can send pictures, blurbs, etc. This will help us get new items in our bulletin, on our lobby TV, and on our website. Email: FAWnews@fatherandrewwhite.org Kindly send anything you’d like considered in the Announcements by Friday evening of the week prior.
SCRIP Gift Card Program
Remember, each family who accepts reduced tuition in exchange for service hours must also earn $50 in REBATES for the school through the SCRIP gift card program. The reporting year ends MARCH 31, 2022. Once you have earned $50 in rebates, 75% of any additional rebates earned can be credited to next year's tuition or this year's 8th grade class fund. Please click this link to direct where your proceeds should go.
