Bearcat Brief

February 16, 2018

Notes from Niki

I found a quote that I'm going to get up over the weekend for our students to read:

Some kids are smarter than you,

Some kids have cooler clothes than you,

Some kids are better at sports than you.

It doesn't matter.

You have your thing too.

Be the kid who can get along.

Be the kid who is generous.

Be the kid who is happy for other people.

Be the kid who does the right thing.

Be the nice kid.

- Bryan Scavnak

Kindness matters and I don't think we can emphasize that enough with our students. The pressure to be perfect is extreme at this age, but what really matters in the long run is and what people will remember about you is the way you make them feel. Thank you for being people that make out kids feel good about being here and being themselves.
