Differentiated Education Plans (DEPs) will be coming home during the first nine weeks. This reviews your child's area(s) of giftedness and describes the services that will be provided this school year.
6th grade parents - You are encouraged to attend an individual conference with me to discuss middle school services and your child's needs. I will send out a sign up sheet soon.
7th and 8th grade parents - DEPs will be sent home unless otherwise requested. You are welcome to schedule a conference with me, if you feel it is needed.
Affective Curriculum
This school year we will be starting an affective curriculum for gifted students. Students will be added to a Canvas course online and have access to the course. The course will cover topics such as what it means to be gifted, how to handle school stress, and other issues that matter to gifted middle schoolers!
Sixth graders will be having "lunch bunch" groups with me quarterly to discuss what they have learned. Watch for more information to come!
