MFE Principal Notes
First Day of School -- August 24, 2015
TO A GREAT FIRST DAY!
Dear Teachers,
I wish each of you a great first day of school with your students. Remember that there is no resource or learning tool that is going to make learning happen. YOU ARE THE MAGIC that makes learning happen. You are the leader of your classroom, and you are enough.
Students will walk in our doors Monday morning excited and ready for another great school year. Remember and capture their excitement of the first day, and lets hold it close as we move through the school year. They are each special individuals and I know that each of you are ready to support each and everyone of them through mastery of the TEKS this year.
You are amazing!

Reminders!
I have attached the Emergency Procedures and School Expectations to review with students. Please review the school expectations with students on Monday, August 24th during RTI time before they leave your class for Music and Physical Education. This will help set us up for success in the dining hall and during recess.
We will have our emergency drills during the 2nd week of school. Please take some time to practice these drills with our students so they are well prepared when the bell rings.
I will be sending out more specific information about our school professional development, dates for or KEY Roughrider Events (Radical Roughrider), authors birthday parties, Millionaire deadlines, reward parties, and our BR BRAG system. The Brag tickets will be in your box by tomorrow afternoon. When they are sent to the office, Mrs. Williams or I will provide them with a strip of paper to start the chain process for each grade. We will locate the chains directly outside your classroom. We are working on ordering stickers to help students feel immediately rewarded.
Please provide Mrs. Weiland with $20 for our courtesy fund.
