End of Year Uniform Returns
Action Required of All CHS Choir Members
The Date is Set...
We hope this message finds each of you well this evening and secure in the knowledge of where your formal concert uniform is currently located. As stated in our weekly update on Sunday, we will be collecting uniforms this week. I was informed earlier today that the district is ready to proceed with this process and that we have been scheduled to manage returns later this week.
Uniform return for the CHS Choir Department has been set for Friday, May 15th.
We have been given two windows of time during which we can collect uniforms. There will be a morning collection window and an afternoon collection window. The times are as follows:
- Morning Returns: 8:30AM-11:30 PM
- Evening Returns: 4:00-600 PM
All uniforms will be processed at DOOR 23 just off of the main loop in the front of the school. Only one student may approach the door at a time. All others are asked to park along the curb and wait until the sidewalk is clear before exiting their vehicle. Should traffic not permit parking along the curb, please move into the parking lot closest to Door 23 and wait there until such time as the sidewalk is clear and it is appropriate to approach.
Please note: Teachers and Staff will be wearing masks and gloves during this process in accordance with district protocols. Students/family members may do so at their own discretion. Social distancing will be strictly observed throughout this process.
[Action Item] All students are asked to indicate an approximate time during which they intend to return their uniform items using the link below. This will help us know who to look for and secure additional assistance should support be needed to help process returns.
Organizing Your Uniform For Return...
In order to ensure that we are able to honor time requests, students are asked to arrive approximately 5 minutes prior to their requested time and organize their uniform items in the following manner:
All Students:
- All uniform pieces should be organized inside your black garment bag assigned to you at the beginning of the school year.
Men's Uniforms:
- Hang Jacket & Pants inside the large pocket, Pants folded along the crease lines.
- Vests, Ties (Blue and/or Grey), and Suspenders (Show Choir) should be stored in the top pocket on the back of the garment bag.
- Button Up Shirts (White and/or Black) should be stored in the bottom zipper pouch on the back of the garment bag.
Women's Uniforms:
- Black Dresses - Untie Ribbons, Hang Up Dress, Close Dress Zipper
- Show Choir Dresses - Hang Up Dress, Close Dress Zipper
- Have Pearls? - Store in the top pocket on the back of the garment bag.
Missing Items? Fees will be assigned in skyward until photo evidence can be provided to verify that the missing uniform piece has been found.
Verification & Storage
Students are asked to approach the check-in area with all zippers on their garment bags open. This will help us with visual inventory checks and speed up the check-out process. Once Mr. Cooley has visually verified that he has seen all uniform items, students will hang up their uniforms on the racks provided. Items in zipper pockets will be sorted (by the student/parent) into baskets below. Please note that at no time during this process are teachers/staff allowed to physically touch or handle the uniform items.
Seniors & Transferring Students...
Graduating and/or moving out of the district? Returning your uniform needs to be priority number one. While we want to bless your transition into the next part of your journey, we also want to make sure that we are in possession of all school-owned items prior to your departure. \
Please make every effort to return these items during this time. Those students that do not return their uniform items may find their transcripts and/or diplomas withheld until these items are received.
Communication is key...
