Principal's Report

Kia Ora e te Whānau and welcome to the end of Week 7.

Congratulations to Tania and our PALs (Physical Activity Leaders) for a stunning colour run on Thursday afternoon. It was wonderful to see some great young leaders step up and organise such a fun event for our school. The joy and excitement among our students was contagious, and it was fabulous to see so many parents come along and enjoy the afternoon with their children.

Congratulations to the brave souls who joined in with the colour run. I hope there wasn't too much colour in cars as you took wet, colourful children home!

With only 7 and 1/2 days of school left this year, classes are busy frantically finishing off work and moving equipment and resources ready for 2023. End of year reports will go home next Friday.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Vicki Neave.

Lost Uniform Tops

Please, please, please check your child's uniform tops. We have a few named tops misplaced during recent sporting events.

If you find your child has picked up the wrong top by mistake, (it happens a lot at the moment with the day starting out cold and then getting hot, often tops are left outside during breaktimes), please return it to the school office and we will get it back to the owner.

Any tops that are found without an owner are placed on a stand in the corridor next to the school foyer. Pupils (and Parents) are welcome to check the found property at any time.

We loved our time on the "Loose Parts" trailer this week. We made up lots of fun games and activities with all the equipment. The students made tunnels for balls to roll through, pretended to be weightlifters, and created some obstacle courses for the whole class to join in on.

The last round of touch will be held next week. The draw will be out via email and Facebook.

Colour Run

Our PALs (Physical Activity Leaders) put a massive effort into the colour run held yesterday afternoon. They have been planning for this event for the last two terms! What a fantastic effort and awesome afternoon!

The Room 6 children enjoyed the creative play opportunity presented to them on Wednesday afternoon when the "Loose Parts" play trailer was at school.

Room 12

This week has been busy for Room 12. We had the loose parts trailer and had a wonderful time creating with the many different parts. We also finished our buddy art with Room 4.

Room 11

Most of the students from Room 11 have been Road Patrollers this year. Last Friday, their year long committment to the job, along with Patrollers from other schools, was rewarded with a wonderful day out at Moana Pool.
