Hark! The Herald
A warm welcome from Saint Michael Catholic School!
It is wonderful to have you join us!
On Friday evenings Saint Michael School shares a newsletter with its community of supporters. Our readers include SMS students and graduates, parents, grandparents, parishioners, local business owners, our generous donors, and other members of the community who support our mission and are curious to know what we are up to all week long.
Shown at left is the oldest known photo of Saint Michael School students, taken in 1880, just years after it opened.
One Legacy. One Future. One Saint Michael School!
to assist parents in the education and formation of their children through the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.
We proudly carry on that legacy today. We offer a co-educational day school for students in preschool through 12th grade and welcome families from the tristate area: Vermont, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
Ways you can help!
As a supporter of Saint Michael School, we hope that you reflect upon all the people in your life and consider if there is anyone who would benefit from learning more about Saint Michael School:
- Enrollment: As we work towards increasing our enrollment here at the school, maybe there is a loved one, a neighbor, or parishioner whose child should be here each day. Please encourage them to contact us! We love connecting with new families in the area who are seeking a first class education for their children. Feel free to share our website, our Facebook page, or put them in contact with the school at (802) 254-6320. Thank you for being an ambassador!
- Charitable Giving: As a small private Catholic school, we reply upon three major sources of funding to help with operating costs each year: tuition, school fundraisers, and the generosity of private donors. If you yourself benefitted from Catholic education, if you value the strong educational and moral teachings offered here at SMS, if you are looking for a way to make a meaningful difference in the life of a young person, or invest in the future of our nation, we would love to talk to you about becoming a donor to Saint Michael School. As a non-profit, donations to SMS are tax deductible and can also be made online here: https://saintmichaelschoolvt.org/donate
- Employment: We are always looking to identify talented, passionate, professional educators to hire. If you know of someone who might help to enrich the SMS experience on our staff, please encourage them to call us, or send a resume. We will gladly keep those on file until the right opening becomes available. If we have positions open, they will be posted on our website employment page.
- We would love to hear from you: Finally, you have chosen to support our school mission, and you must have thoughts about our future. We would be delighted to hear from you! You are strongly encouraged to contact us anytime at 802.254.6320 to share your comments, questions, or suggestions.
“Christ has no body, but yours. No hands, no feet on earth, but yours.
Yours are the eyes through which Christ looks compassion into the world.
Yours are the feet with which Christ walks to do good.
Yours are the hands with which Christ blesses the world.”
~St Teresa of Avila
