HOW TO SURVIVE SEPARATION/DIVORCE
TUESDAY EVENINGS, 6:30PM-8:30PM, NOVATO, CA
SUPPORT GROUP FOR LIFE DURING AND AFTER DIVORCE
Divorce is a traumatic and sometimes unexpected experience, as many things that we once held dear and dependable are gone from our lives. Men usually respond differently than women to this trauma, and are less likely to avail themselves of the emotional resources and support that they need during and after a divorce. Anger and resentment tend to linger for male and female divorcees, and both anxiety and depression can creep into our daily lives if we do not find a way to express our deeply held emotions and process our pain and suffering.
Surviving divorce is an opportunity to begin redefining our sense of self in the world while we go about the business of reinventing our lives. As we open up to our grief and depth of emotion, we also increase our capacity for joy and contact with others. It is possible to transform our surviving into thriving by coming to terms with the truth of our past and the purpose of our future. There are aspects of this journey that are best shared with others in a safe, sacred, and respectful environment.
This ongoing group explores the issues and tools relevant to the reality of moving on...
