Well, Radioactivity would be somewhere to start but how its still there isn't the main problem here. A lot of people are experiencing cancer and other horrible things due to the leak, and even the government faces problems by having to cover the plant with a concrete dome.

The government is working on replacing a concrete dome that they recently put up in the 90's.
This accident was terrible when it happened and is still affecting people today. The governments main concern is replacing this dome and its not going to be cheap, it will cost around 2-3 billion dollars.
