LUNCH GUESTS
“We know that many of our families have enjoyed the opportunity to eat lunch with their student(s). However, due to safety and space limitations in some of our schools, district administration has made the difficult decision to keep our student lunches closed to all outside guests at this time.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and encourage you to look for other opportunities to engage with your student(s), their class, and our schools. There are many ways to get involved! If you have any questions or concerns, contact Jimmie Lake, Chief Operations Officer, at 317-594-4100 or jlake@hse.k12.in.us”

1st Grade Vision Screening
Vision screening is required by the Indiana State Board of Health for all 1st graders. All 1st graders will be screened on Tuesday, October 4th. A local optometrist/ophthalmologist will be at the school to have their vision/eye health evaluated using the MCT (modified clinical technique).
The results are pass or fail. Look for your student’s results in their take home folder which will indicate if your child should be further evaluated by your Optometrist/Ophthalmologist.
If your child wears glasses or contacts, please make sure they have them at school during these days for accurate testing results. If you have any questions, please contact our school nurse, Andrea Redmond, RN, aredmond@hse.k12.in.us
If you do not want your child’s vision to be screened, please email the nurse at: aredmond@hse.k12.in.us
