From the Principal's Desk...

It has been a wonderful start to our school year! I am glad to see several new faces at Rome City!

We are excited for all of the great things we will be doing this year! We continue to grow in science and technology. Students have regular opportunities to do science activities and create and discover on their devices.

We are also continuing the principal's academic challenge for every child. Please ask your child how he or she can earn to go a movie this trimester. We encourage you to help with homework and reading each night. Homework should be coming home Monday—Thursday, if you do not see homework coming home for additional practice, please let your child’s teacher know! Homework should not take long and should be a review of what they already know. Homework is just additional practice to help with long term memory.

We have some exciting events coming up, we would love additional help! Please let me know if you can help!

As always, my door is open, and I welcome comments, concerns, and questions.

~Mrs. Heather Green, Principal

The Weather is Changing!

The weather is changing outside. One day it is warm, the next it is cool. Please make sure your child comes to school with appropriate clothing. Look ahead and watch the weather forecast

iLearn scores

I am sure you have heard a lot lately about iLearn scores on the news. All parents should have received scores in the mail for grades 4 & 5. If you have questions and want to talk more about the scores, please feel free to call me. We can schedule a meeting to discuss the scores.
