We hope that this newsletter finds you and your family doing well. Thank you for all of you who were able to attend the parent-teacher conference to discuss your child's academic and behavioral progress. While this is the only week dedicated to meet with parents, teachers can always be available to meet with parents if a need or concern arises. Please contact your child's teacher for further information.

Across our TK-6th grades, we have chosen to focus on the development of skills and strategies for problem solving this year, especially in the area of mathematics. Ask your child about the Problem of the Month and the ways they work together and approach problems to find solutions.

We had our first family literacy event this past week. We were excited to host several Sonoma County Sheriffs, who were our guest readers for the evening. Thank you to those of you who were able to attend, as well as those that came to campus during the week to make our Fall Book Fair a success.

Important reminders:

• Healthy Snacks: Students are encouraged to bring individually portioned snacks that are nutritious and support learning. Students are not allowed to have candy at school.
• "Phones Away During the Day." Not only does this phone policy help to avoid potential problems, it also helps students to remain focused on their learning.

Esperamos que este boletín lo encuentre a usted y a su familia bien. Gracias a todos los que pudieron asistir a la conferencia de padres y maestros para hablar sobre el progreso académico y de comportamiento de su hijo. Si bien esta es la única semana dedicada a reunirse con los padres, los maestros siempre pueden estar disponibles para reunirse con los padres si surge una necesidad o inquietud. A lo largo de nuestros grados TK-6th, hemos optado por centrarnos en el desarrollo de habilidades y estrategias para la resolución de problemas este año, especialmente en el área de matemáticas. Pregúntele a su hijo sobre el Problema del mes y las formas en que trabajan juntos y abordan los problemas para encontrar soluciones.

Tuvimos nuestro primer evento de alfabetización familiar la semana pasada. Estábamos emocionados de recibir a varios alguaciles del condado de Sonoma, quienes fueron nuestros lectores invitados durante la noche. Gracias a aquellos de ustedes que pudieron asistir, así como a los que vinieron al campus durante la semana para hacer que nuestra Feria del Libro de Otoño fuera un éxito.

Recordatorios importantes:

• Comidas Saludables: Se alienta a los estudiantes a traer meriendas que sean nutritivas y apoyen el aprendizaje. Por favor, no permita que los estudiantes traigan dulces a la escuela.
• "Teléfonos ausentes durante el día". Esta política telefónica no solo ayuda a evitar posibles problemas, sino que también ayuda a los estudiantes a mantenerse enfocados en su aprendizaje.
