Biography and Impact
Eric Weisz was a performer that was born on March 24, 1874 and loved to escape from impossible situations. When his parents moved to America on April 6, 1874; he claims that to be his birthday. Once he was grown up and in showbiz he made his more famous name or show name in Harry Houdini. One of his most popular escapes was when we would be in chains and get but under water. He would ask the crowd to hold their breath with him. After about three minutes most of the crowd had failed and given up and he would push the lid up and come out of the tank without the chains. His impact on the 1920's was he provided entertainment for people coming back to the states and helping people get comfortable again. He also provided another source of entertainment in movies which he did when they weren't as popular as they are now.

This was once his mom died and he started trying to make connections with the spirit world as a show.
