Equipment Woes

We are starting to have equipment drama every. single. day.

  • Only take what you have reserved
  • Return what you borrow, on time
(I am here until 5- please knock on the library door if it is locked when you come to return equipment)

Sara Jones earns her Collaboration Badge!

World History students collaboratively created digital art museums featuring Renaissance art. Students first used Google docs to plan which pieces of artwork would be included, and to write the descriptions including the historical significance of the piece. They then used Sutori to build their museums, which allows students to work on the project at the same time. Some groups collaborated with students in other class periods to construct their online museums.

Do YOU want to be a Canvas Early Adopter?

Canvas is a learning management system that will be replacing Moodle at the end of this year. If you are interested in being one of the first in our building to get on board, please let me know.

Also, if you are interested in being on our camus Canvas committee, please email me. We have a meeting set up already for Monday, January 28 at 8 am. This committee will be making decisions about our campus implementation of campus and anyone who is interested is welcome to attend.

A Note From Another DLC

Happy Wednesday!

I am applying for the Google Innovator Academy that is happening in Sydney Australia! This is an incredible opportunity for me as well as for all the teachers and students I serve. I value working with you and wonder if you would help me out. I need some honest, thoughtful feedback on data. My platform is a more streamlined way to collect and utilize data…every teachers dream, right?!

I appreciate your time in completing this survey by February 8.

Thank you!

Our PTSA has generously provided us with three ipod touches that we can use with our VR Goggles. This means that if you just want a small station of VR Goggles, we can do that now!

I have had the 10 viewers put into Eduphoria under the Mobile Learning Device Lab section. Unlike the Google Expeditions kit (which is 20 devices and 20 phones) , you can reserve these yourself since they belong just to our campus.

Oh, and if you haven't joined the PTSA, you should totally do that! They are awesome! Click here to join
