Arkansas Alpha Delta Kappa
May 2020
Hello Sisters,
MAY is here and we have been sheltered in place for a month and a half. I hope that all of you are staying safe and well. Remember that headquarter has informed its members that we are not required to have the 9 meetings for this year. They have also suggested using the ZOOM app to initiate new members and having meetings if your Chapter is able. New officers for your Chapter can be sent to Headquarters on form H-107 whenever you are able to get your officers elected. I have received some chapters new slate of officers. Thank you for getting that done and H-107 sent into headquarters.
The State Convention has been rescheduled until May 30 and the registration date has been moved back to May 15th. I am hoping and praying that we will be able to have our State Convention, it will depend on what the governor opens up between now and then. Please send in your registration and if we have to cancel, your money will be refunded. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the State Convention if it happens.
Please join your Alpha Delta Kappa sisters this summer July 24th -27th at the 2020 Regional Convention in Wichita, Kansas. The registration form is on the Alpha Delta Kappa website but attached to the newsletter as well. Cindy White, our past state president is the South-Central Region International Vice President and she needs all of our support.

ATTENTION HISTORIANS by Patty Snipes, State Historian
As Historians I hope you’ve been taking lots of pictures of your chapter. I am working on the archives for our State President, Chanetta Case. She would like to have a page or two representing your chapter. I have given you a sample of a design. I used PowerPoint which would be fine for you to use unless you have another program you are comfortable with.
Be sure to include: list of officers, picture of your group, picture of your officers, pictures of some of your meetings or pictures of doing Altruistic projects.
3 options to send them:
- If you are not comfortable with PowerPoint or using a computer and would rather create a page on scrapbook paper you can mail it to me. 8 ½ x 11.
Patty Snipes, 120 Taylor Park Loop, LR, AR, 72211
