The Buckhorn High School Band will present an evening with Stage Hypnotist, Mike Andrews on Saturday, February 13 at 5:30PM. This show is for people of all ages and will encourage audience members to "See the show Or be the show". The event will be held at Buckhorn High School’s Blue Gym and will also include pre-show performances and concessions. Tickets are $10 for advance tickets and $12 at the door. See a Buckhorn Band member for tickets. Proceeds benefit the Buckhorn High School Band and other organizations at BHS. ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

The 2015-2016 Athlete of the Year campaign, powered by Huntsville Hospital Sports Center, TOC Sports and D1 Sports is underway. They are looking for high school senior student athletes who excel on the field, in the classroom and in our community.


From September to April, a panel of judges selects one Athlete of the Week. Applicants must be a high school senior, have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and display a history of athletic and academic accomplishments, as well as community/civic involvement.


All weekly winners are invited to a banquet held in their honor in May, and two students are selected as Athletes of the Year. The two Athletes of the Year each receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Free 2 Teach is hosting the 2nd annual annual Paper Chase 5k Race on February 27 and would love to have the support and participation of our Madison County public school teachers!


Did you know that Free 2 Teach distributed over $246,000 in free supplies to Madison County teachers between July and January of this school year? Your participation as a runner or volunteer will help them continue to serve Madison County teachers and students.


Drawings

Elementary Teachers who run or volunteer will be entered into a drawing to win a free field trip to one of the Early Works Museums for your specific classroom. Five lucky teachers will win! It is easy to raise funds for your non-profit or school group at The Chill Factory®. They will dedicate four hours to your group to raise funds with their help. Your organization invites the public to attend, they provide the treats. Your organization will receive 20% of all yogurt sales to put towards your goal. Non-profit status is required for community groups. School groups must have permission from the school principal to fundraise.
